Update from the Kensels

Another update from the Kensels. This one highlights a recent purchase they made with the help of PVC earlier in the year. The Kensels have a 4x4 pickup truck, which they use to get up to the village where they spend most of their time, but when they are on paved roads, they really need an over-the-road vehicle (the 4x4 isn't made for "on-roading").

Hi Guys
Here are some pics of the van and our dog. It is a real blessing to have the van [ . . . ]

So far it rides great with no problems at all we have figured we put on about 2500 miles so far. It is 8 years old but with the revamp of the engine and suspension it does great.

We will be traveling up to the village as a family for the first time since Sara was born thats been about 4 months which is a large part of rainy reason . The time out of the village we feel has been spent well with all the things we have had to do . Plus I still have been able to talk and see some of the guys that have believed.

This first half of the year we want to be able to have a program that can put their language script on to our computers and type lessons to hand out to them . If you have any computer gurus that feel like helping get back with us. I can explain more about it if you are interested.

[ . . . ]

Well take care

November/December Update from the Halls

The following can be found at http://www.bbfi-northamerica.org/hall , but I thought that it would be even more convenient to reproduce it here in its entirety.

It’s hard to believe a year has already passed since we entered Vancouver Canada as first time, short term missionaries to the Asian culture. We have had a very exciting, at times frustrating, experience where God has stretched us, grown us and taught us a multitude of lessons about Him, ourselves and His Word. We are so grateful to Chinese Tabernacle Baptist Church here in Vancouver for the opportunity to have served here for this past year and have enjoyed the relationships that we have forged here.

The year 2006 holds something completely different for us. God saw fit for us to complete our internship here in Vancouver and move on...to Toronto! In the fall we began praying for God’s leadership for the next year. As we prayed, we received a call from BBFI missionaries Jarret and Jennifer Hamilton in Toronto Ontario. They had been praying for some help to start their church, Affinity Baptist Church, and had us on their minds for quite some time. God has worked everything out for us to make our way to Toronto as full-term missionaries! We are so excited about this new endeavor and all it has in store for us. We know it will mean more deputation, traveling and more lessons about God and His sovereignty. We have already scheduled several churches for the year 2006 and look forward to scheduling more.

We have already announced to our church here that we will be departing in January. While they are sad to see us go, as we are sad to leave them and this beautiful city, they know that following the Lord and His will is most important. Please pray for the teens of this church that they will be able to find a new leader quickly.
