Update from the Williams
Brent & Miriam Williams sent along this update. Please continue to pray for them:
June 2007
"Can we give our neighborhood security guard a tract and a Bible?" "Can we invite the girls next door to Vacation Bible School?" "Maybe we can meet some people in the park and tell them about Jesus." These are some of the questions and sentiments of our seven year old, Olivia. She has received Christ as her Savior and is very tender towards other who do not know Him. Please pray for her spiritual journey and for us as we try to encourage her desire to share the Gospel with others.
"Are all Peruvians Catholic?" "Are we Catholic?" "Why do Peruvians pray to Mary?" "Do Peruvians know about God?" "Anybody can come to our church, right?" These are some of the questions asked by our five year old, Kyall. He has not come to the understanding of salvation yet, but still has a soft heart. Please pray for him as he continues to learn and for us as we teach and train him.
We also ask that you pray for our Sunday School teachers, who help us and the other parents of our church in the spiritual training of our children.
Cinthya, Jenny and Juana are three of our teachers whose backgrounds couldn't be more different.
Cinthya is the head of our children's ministry as well as church secretary. In spite of being raised in a difficult and unhealthy environment, God kept her heart tender and as a teen she gave her life to serve the Lord. As the head of the children's ministry, she is responsible for training all the new teachers and is leading the children's ministry in the new church plant our church is starting in August.
Jenny grew up in a Christian home and serves faithfully teaching children every week. Currently, she lives with her aunt and uncle who are not in favor of her attending our church and prohibit her from attending various activities. Her quite faithfulness has been a testimony to them and her teaching has helped her grow with the children. She recently surrendered to study in a Bible college and follow God's plan for her life.
Juana was not raised in church but was saved as an adult. As a mother of three teenage boys and the owner of two businesses, she has very little free time. Each week though, she gives her time to teach a children's class where she encourages her class to memorize verses, study God's word, and give to missions.
We are thankful for the leaders God has given us and the work He is still doing in their hearts and pray that He will continue to bless us with more like them.
